Oftentimes, persistent pain is the result of overly sensitive alarm bells in the nervous system that need to be calmed down. Some of our ailments are a reflection of the way we have been using our bodies and holding or movement habits that have developed over time. Other times, it is difficult to pinpoint why we hurt. More movement variety, awareness of our habits or beliefs, building strength and resilience, and changing the way we think about movement and pain are important pieces of the puzzle. Motion is Lotion, but sometimes small, targeted and steady doses are needed for our bodies to adapt! I work with people to help create awareness in their Body/Mind, changing movement habits, specific exercise & movement prescription, and through using gentle manual therapy. My specialty is pelvic health and other chronic pain conditions. My goal is to collaboratively help people to change their pain AND get back to living their lives doing the activities they need to or love to do.
